Association of Insurance Services Consumers

The Association of Insurance Services Consumers (APSU) is an association of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities that protects the interests of insurance consumers in Kazakhstan and promotes the development of the insurance market. The association's main goal is to improve the consumer's position in the insurance market and raise the quality of insurance services.

Mission and objectives

• protecting the interests of insurance market consumers and improving their position;
• improving the quality and accessibility of insurance services;
• representing consumers' interests in the improvement of insurance legislation;
• collecting and summarising information on the activities of insurance companies and client reviews;
• assessing the work of insurance companies from the consumer's point of view.

Accreditation of market participants

APSU accredits insurance companies, insurance brokers and insurance agents: it analyses and assesses their work and highlights reliable market participants that clients can rely on when choosing insurance protection.

Structure

The association has standing committees, including the Accreditation Committee and the Committee for the Protection of Insurance Consumers' Rights.

Assistance to consumers

The association advises clients on insurance matters and helps them choose a suitable programme and optimise their spending on insurance protection. The APSU website brings together information on compulsory and voluntary types of insurance, insurance legislation and insurance companies in Kazakhstan.

Cooperation with ASAB

The Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers and APSU share a common goal: a transparent and fair insurance market in which clients receive quality service and professional intermediaries earn consumers' trust.
