Compulsory civil liability insurance for private notaries

A private notary must insure liability for harm caused when performing notarial acts. The sum insured is at least 1 000 MCI for notaries in Astana, Almaty and Shymkent and at least 500 MCI for others. The premium is agreed by the parties but no more than 4,5% of the sum insured. The calculation uses an average rate of 1%.
