Motor insurance: products and risks

An intermediate-level course for experienced agents and brokers, sales and servicing specialists at insurance companies, and employees of banks and leasing companies. It follows on from the course "Motor Insurance: Fundamentals and Practice": the theory in each module is reinforced by a practical workshop based on real-life situations.

Course programme

1. The motor insurance product market — product range, customers and sales channels, comparing offers.
2. Workshop: matching a product to the customer — three customer profiles and a recommendation.
3. Scope of insurance cover — CASCO risks, total loss, forms of indemnity, deductible, wear and tear, exclusions.
4. Workshop: is the event covered? — five disputed situations and calculation of the payout.
5. Legal and regulatory aspects — the compulsory insurance law, the Civil Code, the regulator, the ombudsman.
6. Workshop: applying the rules to a disputed situation — recourse, subrogation, a dispute over the amount of damage, filing a claim with the insurer.
7. Risk and risk factors — the driver, the vehicle, usage, telematics, signs of fraud.
